Meet Emma
Emma Quintana brings a thirst for knowledge and a passion for making a positive difference to her role as our Senior Contracts and Regulatory Analyst.
Emma grew up in a small complex of buildings in the south of Mexico City. “I had a very happy childhood,” she says. “My fondest memory is when we would find, on one of the boundary walls, bird nests where baby birds would often fall as they were learning to fly. We would take care of them and feed them until their parents found them and took them back to their nests."
Growing up, her grandfather served as her guiding light, a steady rock for help and advice, and a powerful role model. Today, her children continue to motivate and inspire her. “They are my engine,” she says with a smile.
She decided to enter the field of business administration to quench her interest in how even the simplest ideas can spark meaningful achievements. Here at NFE, she brings that fascination to life by collaborating with customs, shipping, and operations staff in both the U.S. and Mexico to ensure the intricate and seamless coordination of natural gas imports into Mexico.
Emma thrives in environments that foster growth and forge genuine connections. "I am always learning,” she says. “At NFE, I have found people willing to work as a team, with whom I can build honest and strong relationships. I am most proud of obtaining our hydrocarbons import permit, which helps ensure we can generate clean energy."
And being involved in impactful projects is its own reward. "I love being a part of projects with positive environmental, social, and economic impact in Mexico,” she says.
Emma's bucket list is filled with dreams of finding new horizons and exploring different cultures. Wherever she goes, her strength, independence, compassion, perseverance, and infectious optimism inspire all of us, and we’re grateful she is helping us light the world with positive energy.
