First shipment of natural gas arrives in Jamaica

The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has announced the arrival of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to be used for electricity generation at the Bogue plant in Montego Bay.
In a statement this evening the company said that the introduction of gas represents a historic milestone for Jamaica, as the nation pursues energy diversification and the expansion of its energy sector.
